  Frequently Asked Questions

Demo Serial Number

Q. What's the serial number required when using Mulligan's Eagle in demonstration mode?

A. No serial number is required. The software will operate for 30 days in demonstration mode. After that, you need to purchase an enabling serial number or buy from the Mac App Store.

The Mac App Store

Q. Can I use software from the Mac App Store in demo mode?

A. No - Apple does not yet provide try-before-you-buy use of products listed on the Mac App Store, including Mulligan's Eagle. However, if you download a copy for demo purposes from this web site and later decide to purchase from Apple, you won't lose any data already entered when your Mac App Store purchase is installed. You can always purchase a licensed copy from us from within the software running in demo mode.

P.S. If you purchased your copy of Mulligan's Eagle from Apple, you should NOT update that software from this, or any other, source. Your software updates will be handled by the App Store software on your computer.

"Installed" on Mac App Store

Q. The Mac App Store says Eagle is "Installed" and won't let me purchase. What can I do?

A. Apple is trying to make sure you don't buy the same application twice. If you have Eagle installed for demonstration use (you haven't already purchased it from within the application), just drag the Eagle icon from your Applications folder to the Trash, empty the trash and restart your Mac. You'll then be able to purchase Mulligan's Eagle from the Mac App Store and keep any settings and data you've already entered.

After your purchase, updates to your software will be handled by the App Store application on your Mac.

Why not Windows?

Q. Why has Mulligan's Eagle been developed for the Mac? Why not for Windows?

A. Well... because a Mac is a better machine - more reliable, faster, prettier. easier to use and just more fun. There are things Mulligan's Eagle can do with Mac OS X that just can't be done with that other system. Plus, (like you care!) developing software on the Mac is faster, cleaner, better and also more fun. If you're a Windows user, we sympathize.

P.S. Consider making your next computer a Mac. You can still run Windows applications on it whenever there's a need.

Intel Macs and Classic

Q. Does Mulligan's Eagle run on the MacBook Pro and other Intel-based Macs?

A. Sure. Version 2.6 and later require Mac OS X 10.8 or later and a 64-bit capable Intel-based Mac.

Version 2.1.6 of Mulligan's Eagle runs on any Mac that's using Mac OS X version 10.4 (Tiger) on a PowerPC or Intel-based Mac.

Version 2.3.5 runs on any Mac using Mac OS X version 10.5 (Leopard) on an Intel-based Mac.

Version 2.4.9 runs on any Mac using Mac OS X version 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or later on an Intel-based Mac.

Version 2.5.6 runs on any Mac using Mac OS X version 10.7 (Lion) or later on a 64-bit capable Intel-based Mac.

We always recommend that you use the latest version of Mac OS X. Copies of Mulligan's Eagle purchased from the Mac App Store require Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), OS X Mavericks (10.9, OS X Yosemite (10.10), OS X El Capitan (10.11) or macOS Sierra (10.12).

Sending Club Data to Mulligan

Q. How can I send data about one or more of my golf clubs to Mulligan software for inclusion in their archive?

A. Easy. With each club window open, choose Export from the File menu to make a Club file for each of the clubs you want to send. From the Finder, put them all in a folder on your desktop, then with the folder selected, choose Compress from the File menu to make a compressed file of the whole folder. Send that file as an email attachment to Mulligan Software Technical Support. We'll do our best to get your data online.

If you want to send us a scorecard, scan or photograph both sides and be sure the course and slope ratings for all the tees are shown. Email those images to us.
